Power generating bicycle system
This energy-generating bicycle system , called Hybrid 2, is capable of obtaining energy in two ways: the traditional way of generating energy through pedaling, and the newest way, thanks to the “hybrake” regenerative braking system, a system very similar to that used today by other sustainable means of transport.
How they work
The solution consists of a few parts that do not require much maintenance. The bicycle parts consist of a stationary bicycle, a generator (it can be a car alternator), a car belt (to be able to connect the revolutions of the bicycle to the generator), a CDCA current inverter.
Thanks to a smart grid, this energy will be stored so that the buses can then be easily recharged. To reward those who have used the bike, it was thought that the best option would be to offer them a free credit for travelling on the bus. The amount of the credit will depend on the energy generated by the bike.
